Monitoring Approaches for New-Generation Energy Performance Certificates in Residential Buildings

چکیده

In 2002, the Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD) introduced energy certification schemes to classify and compare building performances support reaching efficiency targets by informing different actors sectors. However, since its implementation, Certifications (EPCs) remained unexploited with limited impact on savings targets. this context, EPC RECAST project aims at studying a new generation EPCs focus residential sector. More in detail, paper presents frames monitoring approach based low-cost non-invasive technology for real data collection existing apartments/houses. The method is levels selected according typology (e.g., detached house, apartment), services centralized or local generation), vectors natural gas electricity). Three have been identified (named as: basic, medium, advanced) each one, plug play sensor kits selected. Six representative pilot buildings verify general and, particular, sensors’ applicability communication, reliability, platform. presented work highlights, one hand, feasibility proposed approach; other, it highlights difficulty fully standardizing sensors considering that building/apartment has specific characteristics constraints be carefully analyzed. use ultrasonic flow meters represents good technical option reducing cost plant system; however, their installation must verified logger needs powered calibrated collecting reliable data.

Energy Consumption Modeling in Residential Buildings

In recent years, the issue of energy consumption modeling techniques in the building sector has been widely considered by researchers and managers. Researches indicate that energy consumption in residential sector is one of the main parts of the total consumption. Moreover, the urban residence is supposed as a significant consumer of energy in every country and therefore a focus for energy cons...

Modeling Housing Demand for New Residential Buildings in Urban Areas

T his study investigates the factors affecting the demand for new residential buildings in urban areas of Iran during 1976-2010. The demand function for new residential buildings in urban areas was estimated and then the existence of a long-run relationship among variables of this function was studied using the Bounds testing of the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Co-integration procedure. The t...

Generation of a Tropically Adapted Energy Performance Certificate for Residential Buildings

Since the 1990s, national green building certification indices have emerged around the globe as promising measurement tools for environmental-friendly housing. Since 2008, tools for countries in the Northern “colder” hemisphere have been adapted to tropical countries. In contrast, the Tropically Adapted Energy Performance Certificate (TEPC), established in 2012, translates the United Nations’ t...
